Aztec recently launched its state-of-the-art IGBT loco controller logic - designed to provide safe, stepless, silent and efficient torque, speed and braking control on underground locos.
Aztec’s IGBT logic is ideal for use on equipment ranging from small battery powered vehicles to large multi-ton battery locos with series wound motors. Furthermore, its rugged construction is designed to withstand the harsh environment often encountered in deep underground mining applications. Standard features include: tin plated busbars, over-temperature current foldback, keyswitch input, direction contactor driver, high pedal lockout, etc.

Aztec Electronics continues to produce its popular underground battery charger - the Batcon. This loco battery charger is electronically controlled and is designed to taper charge (3 stage) between 30 and 99 traction cells. Ranging in capacity from 400 to 1000Ah, it hasan override equalise function for batteries that are sulphated.
Having supplied over several hundred of these chargers to date, they continue to operate well beyond any similar products on the market thus making Aztec the leader in the loco battery charger market.
